Tale of two clients

Sometimes friends can figure out a solution to our problems that we are too overwhelmed to see.

Take Sam, a southerner whose parents in Long Island passed away, leaving him in a predicament traveling back and forth for four months in order to empty and clean out his family home. The time and cost were overwhelming.

That is until his old friend, Mike, came up with the perfect solution. Mike also had recently lost a loved one.

The fact that Mike still lived on Long Island allowed him the discernment of knowing where to turn during his difficult situation, Sam was about to learn.

“First, I contacted Sisters In Charge, the tag, moving, clean-out and estate sales specialists,” Mike told Sam. “The woman came right away and was quite helpful insofar as what was of value or not. She suggested that we hold a tag sale because it would not be quite worth it for us to retain her.She offered to advertise the sale on her web site and tack up fliers for free. She did not charge us.”

She then connected Mike with her son, Robert, and his company, Relocators. “He was just as responsive and came to the site for a free estimate,” Mike continued. “That same day, Robert arranged for his staff to come and work their magic. I sold stuff for cash and Robert took the reamining things to donate. He subsequently send me a donor’s copy for income tax purposes.

“The final bill was $2250 and the place was ‘broom clean’, as they say. I would’ve paid double! Relocators were in and out in a day. Sam, I do not know these people, and I never, never offer recommendations to my friends. But they were simply great, and at a time when I just needed the matter resolved efficiently. This is a company that is vital for any community.”

Mike took his friend Sam’s advice, and could not have been more pleased, he said. When he counts his blessings he now counts Sam twice.
